There is a comraderie in sports like in nothing else I've been a part of. With the right group of people, it is so much fun to play. Win or lose, when everyone is looking to have fun and still do their best; it's edifying to be a part of. Even though I can't move as easily today as most days, playing was worth it.

We've only practiced once and I missed our one game so far, because I didn't find out about it until Wed. and the game was Thurs. But that one practice was so much fun. I did nothing but stand behind the plate, except when I was batting. There was one man out there who is probably in his forties, and he is the picture of enthusiasm. He enjoys everything he does. He was out there trotting around, and he was a bit stiff. He doesn't move as well as he used to, but he was just plain old having a good time. I left practice thinking, "I want to be like that. I just want to have a good time. I don't want to be stressed out; no matter how hard I'm working or how difficult life is, I just want to enjoy it." It's great to play.
